My first podcast experience with Big Red Potion

This past Sunday, as a few of you know I featured in my first podcast. It was for BigRedPotion presented by Sinan Kubba and Joe DeLia. I was invited to the show along with Shane Hinton. It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that while excited, I was also a bit nervous about doing the podcast. I’ve never had to do anything like it before. In fact the nearest I tend to get to ‘serious’ games conversation is well, not very serious to say the least! I’m very much used to writing my thoughts down rather than having a proper discussion about things.

However, I had a fantastic time on BRP. The guys were great and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the show. The subject was ‘How Games Age’, essentially: Which games stand the test of time? How much does nostalgia affect our judgement? What games should be remade? What will the future of gaming history be?

Huge thanks to Sinan and Joe for having me on the show.

Oh and of course, for those who’d like to listen to the show: here’s the direct link and also it’s available on iTunes under Big Red Potion obviously!

Constructive feedback always welcome 🙂 And yes I know I sound nervous :p

    Hiya 🙂

Just wanted to say it was lovely to hear a female voice on one of the many podcasts I listen to. You did a great job and didn’t sound too nervous at all 🙂 I was at a bit of a disadvantage on this episode of brp cause I have only found console gaming in the past couplea years but it was still very interesting.

Hope to hear you on more podcasts in the future and thank you for your contribution to a lively, informative discussion.

    Alicia :o)

Hey Jen, gotta mirror Alicia’s comment and say good job on the show you hardly sounded nervous and came across as very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about gaming, which is awesome!
It was great hearing SOR2 get some love as it’s one of my all time faves! Keep up the great writing and good luck for future.

    Regards, John

Y’know, I didn’t quite know who you were when you first commented on my blog, but now I do. I came on as a guest for Sinan and Joe last week, and you’re right, it’s an awesome experience. The podcast you did was very interesting, and Sinan has a great habit of creating the only podcasts I treat as anything other than background noise (with the exception of my own). Good work.

No worries. Apologies for the confused identity, the name Haly and the name on the podcast threw me :).

Yeah I think I need to settle on the one name now! 😀
