I’ve been pondering how to celebrate the whole leaving retail thing. Obviously there doesn’t need to be fanfare or anything but it’s nice to feel more in control of my life once more. I’ve felt miserable the past few months after all.
So I think I’m going to dye my hair. I couldn’t really do it while working in a customer facing environment and, since watching Scott Pilgrim, I’ve got an urge to do so. Blue seems a good idea I think. When I do so, I’ll stick some photos up. Probably.
I kind of expected to feel some sort of regret about leaving the retail job. I don’t. I’ve been in there a few times and chatted to my workmates and it’s great to see them. I don’t regret leaving though. Instead I just know I can go visit and be a customer again. It’s a good feeling.
I’ve got some firm money with 148apps but I’ll of course be pitching elsewhere plenty too.
Currently I’m slightly run off my feet anyway. I’ve got so many games to work my way through. Not complaining by any means but the pile is ever growing. The Sims 3 arrived today which I’m really looking forward to playing soon. I still need to play more of Fifa 11 and Fallout: New Vegas and….oh so many. That’s not forgetting the likes of Enslaved which has caused quite a bit of fuss or Deadly Premonition.
I really like being a gamer at times like these. Even if it is bloody expensive.
Sometime this week I’ve got to find the time to make some fresh pasta and a curry too. And go to the cinema and something I’ve completely forgotten but is no doubt extremely important.
In which case, I’d probably best go to bed in a minute.
