Blog a Day 301of365: Rambling

Ultrabrilliant/Andy Kelly has made me wonder if maybe I should blog about money saving tips I’ve acquired over a lifetime of being broke. I might well do in fact but not today. I’ll have a think overnight and come up with some ideas for anyone who’s interested.

It’s been a busy day again. Aren’t they all? The Autumn rush and all that. Still, I’d always rather be busy than bored and there’s not much chance of that at the moment!

I’m sleeping badly again which doesn’t help. Any suggestions for how to have more energy? I sleep for around 8hrs but always seem to be tired. Wondering if maybe I’m sleeping for too long. The only thing I can think of. It’s just a matter of trying to figure out what the optimum time actually is, which is a bit of a bugger. I’d love to be a morning person, I bet they get so much more done.

I’m looking over at a review of Sleep Cycle now and pondering if it really works. I suspect I’d probably do better if I just have more willpower when it comes to getting up.

I’m generally fine at forcing myself to get up if I have to so that’s probably what I need to do. I’d get so much more done then. Or maybe I’d even have a proper evening to relax.

As you might be able to guess by now, I’m rambling. That’s what happens when you’ve spent the day emailing people, sometimes writing and arranging the forthcoming couple of week’s content for Resolution.

Tomorrow should be more relaxing – Fridays usually are.

Trying out Google Chrome at the moment. Bit unsure about it. Seems a bit faster than Firefox but it keeps trying to get me to search for things when I just want it to remember my history. Considering it said it had imported Firefox’s history, it doesn’t seem like too much to ask. *pokes Chrome irritably*

Sleep seems a good idea about now.

    Hey Jen,

Nice blog! Didn’t realise you had one. Good luck on the post a day challenge!

My girlfriend has a similar problem in that she sleeps regularly for around eight hours a day and always feels tired, but she is a teacher and takes a lot of work home. I think it’s all about switching off. Do you get the chance to unwind properly each evening? I find a spot of Halo Reach, a listen to a favourite record or a trip to the pub with friends helps massively. Especially if I’ve had a bad day.

I sleep about 7 to 7 and a half hours a day and that seems to work fine for me. Although on the weekend I tend to sleep for 10 hours each day, play catch up and feel tired most of the day! I guess I’m not much help haha!

By the way, you should definitely write a money-saving tips blog post.

Superb blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Kudos!
