In the midst of writing my Fable 3 review which goes up in around 5 hours time, I decided to go out to post some things and generally have a wander around some shops with my Mum. The idea grew. I decided to trade in a couple of games while I was at it, this then turned into more old games of very questionable quality.
I went in HMV first but they offered me a good price and I don’t really like the Gamestation or Game in that town. So I ended up with some decent credit. Combined with left over birthday money and it was a fun shopping trip. I ended up buying Vanquish, Fallout: New Vegas and got Aliens versus Predator free with Vanquish.
Vanquish was a total impulse buy. People keep raving about it on Twitter and I’m clearly easily swayed. Throw in a copy of Aliens versus Predator which is bound to be crap but is free, and it was a simple decision.
Fallout: New Vegas was an easy decision too. It’s Fallout. I liked Fallout 3 and despite its many bugs, New Vegas seemed worth a shot.
Of course by the time I got home and finished the Fable 3 review, I only had an hour with the two games. And I remembered that I still had Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Assassin’s Creed 2 to play amongst many others.
I suck at this clearing the backlog thing evidently.
Also, I need to learn to not sleep then I’d be able to get through the backlog. It must be possible. Right?
